The Offramp feature allows you to convert your cryptocurrency holdings (such as USDC, ETH, or USDT) into fiat currency (such as NGN, USD, EUR, or GBP) and receive the funds directly in your bank account.

Overview

Offramp is the process of “exiting” from cryptocurrency back into traditional fiat currency. With meCash Offramp, you can:
  • Convert crypto to fiat at competitive exchange rates
  • Receive funds via bank transfer or mobile money
  • Track conversions in real-time
  • Access multiple fiat currency destinations
Offramp transactions follow the same flow as crypto-to-crypto withdrawals but settle in fiat currency to the recipient’s bank account.

How Offramp Works

Select Amount

Choose the cryptocurrency and amount you want to convert to fiat.

Get a Quote

Receive a real-time quote showing the exchange rate, fees, and the fiat amount you’ll receive.

Enter Recipient Details

Provide the bank account or mobile money details for the fiat payout.

Confirm & Execute

Review the transaction summary and confirm to execute the offramp.

Receive Fiat

The converted funds are sent to the recipient’s bank account.

How to Offramp (Dashboard)

Navigate to Ramp

Log in to your meCash Business Dashboard and navigate to Ramp → Balances.

Select Your Crypto

Choose the network (e.g., Ethereum) and select the asset you want to convert (e.g., USDC).

Click Offramp

Click the Offramp button to start the conversion process.

Enter Conversion Details

  • Amount: Enter the crypto amount to convert
  • Target Currency: Select the fiat currency (e.g., NGN)
  • Payment Channel: Choose bank transfer or mobile money

Add Recipient

Enter the recipient’s bank account details:
  • Bank name
  • Account number
  • Account holder name

Review Quote

Check the exchange rate, fees, and final amount the recipient will receive.

Confirm Transaction

Review all details and confirm to execute the offramp.

Common Issues

Cause: Quotes are valid for a limited time (usually 5-10 minutes).Solution: Create a new quote and complete the transaction promptly.
